What league(s) are you/have you been affiliated with?
I have only been with Kokeshi Roller Dolls, but when I went back to the states for vacation I got the opportunity to skate with Houston Roller Derby for a few practices.
How did you come up with your name and number?
Well I wanted Ida Banged’her, but it was taken. When I was looking for a different name, I was making a joke with a friend and said “Well, I’d hit that… ” paused for a moment, and then said “Yep, that’s my name!”
Why did you join KRD?
My friend Tara told me I needed to go with her to this All Call for roller derby. I was clueless as to what it was, but after she told me a little bit she said I would love it! So I did and I did!
Worst things about Derby?
Smelly pads and loosing dresser drawer room.
Best things about Derby?
The exercise and being a part of something very special.
Hobbies outside of Derby?
Dancing, painting, anything crafty.
What advice would you give to a new derby player?
There is a lot of advice I give to the newer skaters. One thing I often say is, “No one is better than anyone else. Everyone has the skills and it is just about strengthening them. Never give up!”
What position do you play or want to play?
I play whatever it is I am asked to play. I won’t lie, I do enjoy Jamming even though I know I have a long way to go.
If your life was a movie, what movie would it be?
Hmmm.. I would like to say it’s more like the TV show Modern Family.
Do you collect anything, if so, what/why?
Jack skellington (Nightmare before xmas) collectables, living dead dolls and old currency (aged bills)
What is something that most people don’t know, or would never guess about you?
That a little over a year ago I was over 100lbs heavier than I am now.
What movie(s )can you watch over and over and never get sick of?
